 CBO was awarded Best Community Organisation in UK by Channel S on Tuesday 3rd April. M A Hannan, Chairperson and Manager, Shabud Ullah, accepted the honour on behalf of CBO.
Since 1985 CBO has been working in West Bromwich and the rest of Sandwell to give assistance and support to people around welfare rights, skills development and community building. The Bangladeshi community in this area is especially deprived but CBO has provided much needed development regeneration and has opened up opportunities for local people
 Recently, Sandwell Council awarded CBO the opportunity to run and operate a community centre in heart of the Greets Green area. The Resource Centre was officially unveiled by Lord King of West Bromwich, Council Leader Cllr. Darren Cooper and Cllr. John Edwards, Chair of scrutiny management board, on Wednesday 21st December. It is dedicated to providing a One-Stop-Shop facility for all communities in Sandwell
