Confederation of Bangladeshi Organisations (CBO) are very delighted to announce the recent successful bid to the National Lottery Community Fund and secured grant for a 5 year project. Building Brighter Futures (BBF) will compliment existing services at the Greets Green Resource Centre and create a ‘one-stop shop’ for the diverse community. The aims of the project is to bring isolated BME communities together and build strong relationships in and across communities. Activities provided range from social, recreational, health activities to advice, training and focused interventions offering a holistic approach.
Shabud Ullah, Chief Executives Officer said, “Community and voluntary sector plays a critical role in transforming the lives of the most vulnerable people in our society. Through decreasing social isolation, accessing mainstream services, reporting increased financial literacy and gaining employment and skills the individual will improve their life chances and also benefit their wider families.
We are very grateful to the National Lottery Community Fund for awarding the grant and supporting CBO to make a difference”
