We aim to work with residents in the most disadvantaged wards of Sandwell, mainly but not only from minority ethnic communities, who face multiple barriers to employment. We will support them to build confidence, access and move into education, training and employment.
We aim to focus in particular (but not exclusively) on access to skills and opportunities in the health and care sector – where there are occupational shortages but a high demand on services. We will work in partnership with Your Trust Charity (Sandwell & West Birmingham Hospital NHS Trust Charity). The purpose is to enable Sandwell residents to access these opportunities that will provide them, their families and communities with long-term employment and long term local health services.
